About the Pastoral Assistant

The Pastoral Assistant is Anagkazo Bible and Ministry Training Center’s tool for pastoral care. It answers messages sent to the church and its pastors on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, and gives our pastors and church staff a private portal to follow those conversations, book appointments and look after the people in their care. Anagkazo Bible and Ministry Training Center runs it for its own pastors and members. It is not sold or offered to anyone else.

What it does

  • Replies to people who message a pastor or the church, with prayer, encouragement, Bible teaching, and books and messages by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills. Many replies are written by AI, and the pastor can read every conversation and step in.
  • Arranges appointments with pastors and reminds people of them.
  • Alerts a pastor straight away when someone needs them.
  • Helps pastors keep their contacts, groups and follow-up tasks in one place.

Who uses it

Members and visitors simply message a church number or our Facebook page. They don’t need an account. Pastors and staff sign in to the portal on this website. Accounts are by invitation from Anagkazo Bible and Ministry Training Center only.

Google Calendar

Pastors can choose to connect their Google Calendar. Appointments booked through their assistant then appear in their own calendar, and members are offered only times when the pastor is free. Connecting asks Google for two permissions:

  • See when the pastor is busy. We read only the start and end of busy times, not the names or details of events, to work out which times are free. Busy times are held for a few minutes and never saved.
  • Add and change events. We add each appointment booked through the assistant to the calendar, update it when it moves and remove it when it is cancelled. Every 15 minutes we check whether the pastor moved or deleted one of those appointments in Google Calendar, so the booking follows. Other events are skipped and never stored.

We store only the encrypted key Google gives us to keep the connection, the calendar’s ID and the ID of each appointment we added. Event details are never given to AI models: the assistant only learns which times are free. We don’t sell calendar information, use it for advertising or share it with anyone.

A pastor can disconnect at any time under Settings › Integrations. That deletes the stored key and asks Google to cancel our access. Access can also be removed from the Google account permissions page.

Anagkazo Bible and Ministry Training Center’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
