Give a leader a task · 0:56

Tasks are work you have given your leaders. The page also shows people your assistant is checking on. It is a board with a column for each stage.

The board

The columns are Open, In progress, Blocked, Overdue and Done. Each card shows the title, who it is for and the due date. When a leader has replied, it shows their latest update and any blocker they mentioned.

Only the pastor and admins can change tasks. Others can look.

Add a task

  1. Open Tasks under Scheduling.
  2. Tap New task.
  3. Type the Title.
  4. Choose who it is Assigned to.
  5. Add Details (optional) and a Due date (optional).
  6. Set the Status.
  7. Choose a follow-up if you want one: None, Once or Repeat. See Follow-ups.
  8. Save. You see "Task created".

If the page says "Add a contact first, then you can give them a task", add the person under Leaders or Add contacts first.

On a card

  • Edit changes the task. You see "Task updated".
  • Follow up now asks the leader for an update straight away.
  • Close marks it done. Reopen brings a finished task back.

Keep an eye on it

Tasks with a due date also show in your Calendar under Task due dates.

Tip: Give each task a clear title and a due date. Leaders reply better when they know what you expect.
