Dag Ministry sermons and music

The Dag Ministry card lets your assistants share sermons, camps, audiobooks and music as personal links. It also tells the portal when someone listens. Only admins can set it up.

Set it up

1. Open Settings › Integrations, under Church services.
2. Select the Dag Ministry card.
3. Enter the API key.
4. Leave Address as it is unless Dag Ministry tells you otherwise. It starts as https://admin.dagministry.org.
5. For the listening word, fill in Listening webhook token and Listening webhook secret. The token has a button that makes one for you. Once the token is saved, Listening webhook address shows where Dag Ministry sends word of listens, ending with the last four characters of the token. Give Dag Ministry that address with the full token, and the secret.
6. Select Save.

Test it

Select Test connection. It stays off while you have unsaved changes and says "Save your changes before testing."

If it works, you see "Found 3 sites: …" with the site names, followed by "Copying the catalogue now." The catalogue is the list of what can be shared. It is copied every 6 hours, and again after you save or test.

If it fails, the message says why:

• "Add the API key first."
• "Could not reach" followed by the address and a reason. Check the Address.
• "Dag Ministry did not accept the API key." Check the key.
• "Dag Ministry answered with an error", with a number. Try again later.
• "The key works but has no sites. Give it the sites in Dag Ministry › API keys." Add the sites to the key in Dag Ministry.

A site whose domain is not yet on Dag Ministry is left out until it is. At present that is dagflow.org.

What members see

A member who asks for a sermon or a song gets their own short link with the cover, title and description. When they play it, their contact gets the tag listened. See Sermons, songs and books it shares.
