Messaging budget and WhatsApp charges

See the daily limit on new conversations and share it between assistants.

WhatsApp limits how many new people the church can start a conversation with each day. All pastors share it. You see it in Messaging budget.

The church-wide limit

The Church-wide limit card shows the Tier limit (new people a day), Used today and Shared out as quotas. The limit is read from WhatsApp every morning. Broadcasts and other messages to people who haven't written recently count against it. See Send a broadcast.

Give each assistant a share

  1. Open Messaging budget.
  2. Under Daily quota for each assistant, enter a number for an assistant. Leave it empty for no limit beyond the church-wide one.
  3. Select Save on that assistant's row. Each assistant is saved separately, and you will see "Quota saved".

A quota can't be higher than the limit: you will see "A quota cannot exceed the portfolio limit of N a day."

Tip: If one pastor sends large broadcasts, a quota stops them from using the whole day's limit before the others.

Charges

The WhatsApp charges card shows Meta's approximate charges for template messages, by category and by assistant. Choose This month or Last 30 days above it to change the period. Use it to see which assistant or kind of message costs the most. Categories match the template categories in What templates are.
