Events & hand-offs
Church events
Add events so your assistant can tell people about them, and send invitations from a chat.
The Events page holds events your assistant can mention when people ask what is happening. You can also send an event as an invitation inside a chat.
Admins set church-wide events. Pastors see events for the assistants they own. The page says "Church events the assistants can mention." for admins and "Events for the assistants you own. Church-wide events are set by admins." for pastors.
Add an event
- Open Events under Scheduling.
- Tap New event.
- Type the Title and Details.
- Set Starts, and Ends (optional). Times are in Accra time.
- Add the Location and a Link if there is one.
- Under Stop mentioning after (optional), choose a date after which the assistant stops mentioning it.
- Under Audience, choose who it is for: All assistants (admins only) or the assistants you pick.
- Turn on Published when it is ready.
- Tap Create event. You see "Event created".
An event that is not published shows as Draft and is not mentioned. A published one shows Published.
Tip: Write details as you would tell a visitor: day, time, place and what to bring.
Change or delete an event
Tap the edit button on its row to change it. You see "Event updated". The delete button asks you to confirm.
Events also show on your Calendar under Church events.
Send an event as an invitation
- Open a chat in Live chats.
- Tap the attach button and choose Send an event.
- Pick the event.
See Send photos, files and events.
See who is coming
In the events list, open the responses for an event to see Invitations and responses. You can filter by response: Coming, Maybe, Can't make it or No response. Each person's invitation, response, assistant, channel and date are shown.
