Send photos, files and events

When you reply to someone in Live chats, you can send more than words.

Send a photo, video or file

1. Open the chat and select the attach button next to the message box.
2. Choose Photos and videos or File.
3. Pick the item from your phone or computer.
4. Send it.

Send an event

1. Select the attach button and choose Event.
2. Under Send an event, pick an event from the list.
3. It is sent to the person in the chat.

You can only send events that have been published. See Events.

Speak your message

The microphone button for voice notes is not ready yet. Selecting it says "Voice notes are coming soon. Use dictation to speak your message." Use the dictation button instead, and your words appear in the message box for you to check and send.

Emoji

Use the emoji button to add emoji. You can search with text or emoji.

Important: You can send only while the reply window is open. See The 24-hour reply window.

If a message fails

A message that did not arrive shows an alert icon. Select it to see Not delivered with the reason, then select Try again. See Message not delivered.
