Alerts on your WhatsApp

Link your own WhatsApp number so your assistant can tell you at once when someone needs help.

Get alerts on your WhatsApp · 1:06

Your assistant can message you on your own WhatsApp when something needs you. To do that, it needs your number, and you must prove it is yours with a code.

  1. Open Alerts & schedules in the menu, under Scheduling.
  2. Under My WhatsApp number, type your number in WhatsApp number, for example 024 123 4567.
  3. Tap Send code. A code arrives on your WhatsApp.
  4. Type the 6 digits in Verification code and confirm.

You then see Verified. The code expires after 10 minutes. If it does, tap Send a new code. Only you can see and change this number. Tap Change number to use another one.

If it fails:

  • "Enter a valid WhatsApp number, for example 024 123 4567."
  • "That code has expired. Send a new one."
  • "That code is not right. Check the message and try again."
  • "Too many wrong codes. Send a new code."

Choose what reaches you

Under Alert preferences turn each kind on or off:

  • Urgent: always on. Someone needs help right now.
  • Referrals: a conversation your assistant passed to you.
  • Reminders: chats waiting for a human reply.
  • Updates: prayer requests, testimonies and other news.
  • Reports: scheduled reports and digests.

Tap save. You see "Preferences saved".

Quiet hours

Set a start and an end time. Non-urgent alerts wait until quiet hours end. Set both times, or neither. Urgent alerts are never held back.

Digest

Choose Digest frequency (daily or weekly), the time, the day for weekly, and your timezone. You get one summary instead of many messages.

If nobody responds

An urgent alert that is not acknowledged within 10 minutes goes to your delegates, then to the escalation contacts that admins set up.

Important: If you stop getting alerts, see Not getting alerts.

You can also get alerts on this device: see Push notifications. To ask your assistant things from this number, see Your office line.
