Troubleshooting
I'm not getting alerts
Check your number, quiet hours, alert types and push settings when alerts don't reach you.
Alerts tell you when someone needs you. If they have stopped arriving, check these on Alerts & schedules.
Check these first
Your WhatsApp number isn't verified
Who can fix it: you. Under My WhatsApp number, the badge must say Verified. If not, add and verify your number. See Alerts on WhatsApp.
Quiet hours are delaying them
Who can fix it: you. Non-urgent alerts wait during your Quiet hours. Change the times if they are too long. Urgent alerts ignore quiet hours.
That alert type is switched off
Who can fix it: you. Check the alert types on the same page and switch on the ones you want.
Push notifications are off or blocked
Who can fix it: you, on each phone or browser.
- Look at the badge on the push card. Off for this device means you have not turned it on here.
- Blocked in browser settings means your browser is refusing them. Allow notifications for this site in the browser's settings.
- Select Send test alert.
If you see "Push notifications aren't set up yet. An administrator can add the keys under Settings, Integrations.", an admin must finish the setup. See Push notifications.
Repeat alerts are held back on purpose
Nobody needs to fix this. You get one urgent alert per person every 6 hours, and one referral alert per person every 12 hours, so one matter does not flood you.
Check what was sent
Open Alert history on Alerts & schedules to see which alerts went out and whether they were acknowledged.
Tip: If WhatsApp alerts only arrive when you have recently messaged the number, ask an admin to check that alert templates are approved. See Templates used by the app.
