Training your assistant

Approve, decline and revert changes

Decide which of the trainer's suggestions go live, and undo one later if you change your mind.

Every change the trainer suggests waits for you. It only reaches your people after you approve it.

Read the card

Each suggestion appears as a card with a badge: Pending, Approved, Declined or Reverted. The Before box shows what the assistant does now. The After box shows what it would do if you approve.

Approve or decline

  1. Read Before and After.
  2. Select Approve to make the change live, or Decline to throw it away.
  3. A message confirms it: "Change approved" or "Change declined".

You can also type yes or no in the trainer chat. It settles the card that is waiting.

The quality check

While a change is pending, the portal checks that it will not make your assistant worse. You see "Checking quality…" and then a result such as "Passed 4 of 4 checks".

  • If a check fails, the card shows "Failed" with the reason. When you select Approve, it asks "This change failed the quality check. Approve it anyway?" Choose Approve anyway or Keep reviewing.
  • If the check is slow, you will see "The quality check is taking longer than expected. You can still decide without it."

Tip: If a change fails the check, ask the trainer to word it differently before you approve anyway.

Undo a change

Approved changes show a Revert button. Select it to go back to how things were. The message says "Change reverted".

See what changed and when

Open the History tab in Train my assistant. It lists the latest 50 changes, with who made each one and when. If there are none, it says "No training changes yet."

Who can approve

Only the owner of the assistant, or an administrator, can approve, decline or revert. Anyone else sees "Only the owner of this assistant can approve or decline changes." See Owners, delegates and admins.

Next: Try your assistant and correct a reply.
