Training your assistant

Train your assistant from WhatsApp

Message your assistant's number from your own phone to get reports and make changes.

You can look after your assistant from WhatsApp without opening the portal. You message from your own phone, and it answers you.

Set it up once

  1. Open Alerts & schedules in the Scheduling menu.
  2. Under My WhatsApp number, enter your WhatsApp number and select Send code.
  3. Type the six-digit Verification code and select Verify.

Once it says Verified, messages from that phone are recognised as yours. Messages from any other number are treated like anyone else's.

Send a message

Message your assistant's number, or your church's main number, from the verified phone. Write the way you would to a person. You can ask it to:

  • Give you a report on how the line went.
  • Show what needs your attention, and find conversations.
  • Pause the assistant on a chat, or hand it back.
  • Draft a message to someone.
  • Save a contact, or find one.
  • Create a task, and mark one as done.
  • Check your diary, book, move or cancel an appointment.
  • Set a report or reminder to reach you.
  • Propose a change to how your assistant speaks or what it knows.

You confirm before anything happens

If something would send a message, book an appointment or change your training, the assistant first shows you what it will do. Nothing happens until you reply YES.

Important: Always read the summary before you reply YES.
