Troubleshooting
Broadcast problems
Fix the warnings and errors that stop a broadcast from going out.
A broadcast can be held back for a few reasons. Match the message on screen.
Check these first
"Nobody can be contacted. Choose people who haven't opted out."
Who can fix it: you. Every chosen person has opted out. Choose others. See Opt-outs.
"N skipped (opted out or no consent)"
Nobody needs to fix this. Those people are left out on purpose.
"Broadcasts can go to at most 5,000 people."
Who can fix it: you. Split the list into smaller groups and send in parts.
"N will go out on later days because of the daily limit."
Who can fix it: nobody needs to. WhatsApp limits how many new people you can message each day, and the rest follow on later days. An admin can check Messaging budget: see Messaging budget.
"Messages that would arrive between 21:00 and 07:00 wait until 07:00."
Nobody needs to fix this. Messages are held overnight so people are not woken.
"Choose a time in the future."
Who can fix it: you. Pick a later time for a scheduled broadcast.
"That template can't be used for broadcasts." or "Only approved templates can be used."
Who can fix it: an admin. Choose a different template, or see Template problems.
"Only the pastor or an admin can send broadcasts"
Who can fix it: an admin. Ask the pastor or an admin to send it. See Who can do what.
"SMS isn't set up. Add the FlashSMS key under Integrations first."
Who can fix it: an admin. See SMS templates.
Tip: After sending, see how it went in Broadcast results and follow-ups.
